They're pulling the plug on Kevin

They said he's brain dead. Said they never saw so much damage in somebody his age (59). I guess they're just waiting for his sister to get here from California. She's on her way.
Cindy said he didn't want any kind of services. Just wants to be cremated. Wants Sam to come up from Ohio and fire up the steam engine and blow his ashes out the stack.

Sorry about your BIL. A person does not realize how precious time is with a loved one until they are gone. A good friend of mine has been gone for five years now and how do I miss the time we spent talking tractors and so forth.

Our prayers go out to you and your family.
Every time I have come across the request for no fuss no flowers I have always sent some anyways.
True the one that has past can not enjoy them, but funerals and grieving are there for the living and loved ones.
21 years ago I lost my dad and I am not ashamed to say a tear ran down my cheek as I typed this.

Sorry for your loss randy.I don't know what it is with that age group lately but we have lost four guys at work on the last ten months they were all Truck drivers hauling Asphalt and sand and gravel I all of them were between fifty four and sixty one all heart attacks or stroke

Sorry for your loss!!! The only good thing is he did not have long to suffer. I never want to be a burden on my family with no hope to recover. Your sister will be lost for a while. Try to keep her busy/involved in things.

Condolences. But having your ashes blown out the stack is way cool! Sort of a Viking funeral. 19th century style! 8)

Sorry to hear that. Our best whishes sent from central NY to you and family. His final wish sound great. Hope the old steamer has a full head and spreads his ashes over several country miles.

Lol,. he was only 42 , lyphomia took him in 13 monthes .. sure wisht he could see what his son and daughter have become , and maybe he is Indeed watching over them ,. I know he would be proud and would luv those gran babies as we do ,..

Sorry to hear of the sad news, His last wish is so very different.I really hope it's granted for him, and although sad I hope it brings a smile to the faces of all those that knew the man and everybody understands why he wanted that.

So sorry to hear, condolences from here. Great idea with the ashes from a truly devoted tractor man.

So sorry for the lost. I always tell people to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He's in a lot better place than we are.

We are so sorry for your loss.

Beyond the darkness, light . . . Beyond the sorrow, peace. We wish you everything you need to get through this difficult time.

Sorry for your loss. If you happened to see my posts the pasts couple weeks I went through something similar with my BIL. Although, after one week, the Good Lord pulled the plug for us on the July 2nd.
