Just one question , a friend who lives 100 miles away from me, recently purchased a Cockshut tractor, There does not seem like very much information on the type of tractor on this board. When looking at the tractor there are not any number's or letter's visible to identify, the size or style of the machine. Is there another place to locate more information for this tractor? Thanks, Murray

Early ones were either built by Hart Parr or Oliver, later 40s through 50s to early 60s,they built their own in Brantford Ontario Canada, then they were built by Oliver again. That's where we'd need to start. Need to know if it was built on Brantford or Charles City Iowa.

If you go farther down the forum to the Oliver, Cletrac, Co-op and Cockshutt section you can get all your questions answered. The serial number should be stamped in the top of the left side of the frame rail/tub, under the distributor if its gas. Check the Galleries on the left side of the page under TRACTOR PHOTOS and search for Cockshutt.
