Cub Cadet weight ?

A fellow I used to work with has an older cub cadet I forget what model he said ? It was not the oldest ones but I think it was still from the late 60's ? Has blade, mower deck and snow blower. Clutch is to have a problem and he crashed into something and hit the gear shift and broke a fork and chipped a gear. Last I seen him he was talking about hauling it into scrap. I told him to hold off I'll come see you. I was guessing 750 lbs. ? if close the scrap yard money will only add up to about $ 38.00 I guess I'll offer him somewhat more to save it from scrap.
Scrap here is only paying $ 107.00 for a gross ton (2240lbs.)
What do you all think ?

750-850 is a good estimate. I think my 1450 with no attachments is at 680(?) or so. 850 should about catch the everything. Even at $100-$150 its cheap - the snow blower would easily bring $100, the blade and deck would each also be close to that number too. Then you still have Cub with a running Kohler engine......

With the blade, deck, and snow blower, I think 7 to 800 lbs. would be a good estimate. You could probably get $100 to 200 for each of the implements if they are decent, and that much for the tractor as a parts machine. I would try and fix it up, these are good machines and will do a lot of work. I have two of them, one I am working on still, and they are very handy. The snowblower is somewhat rare I think, I have one for the tractor I am working on and will be trying this winter I think. Parts are around if you look. There are places that specialize in or carry parts for these older tractors. The ones before MTD took over are the best. I just picked up a hydraulic unit for the one with the snowblower . Where are you? Might be interested in some of this find if you are to sell or part out. I am in Rhode Island. Tom

If I can get it ? I will be looking for the parts to get it going. There is a lawn mower junk yard not too far from me. Most likely it will be listed on the YT classifieds for sale at some point.

If it is gear drive model and was used with a snowblower it is likely that the optional dual-range creeper transmission is installed. This component is highly desirable and would be worth several hundred dollars by itself.

If you are in the western side of Ohio, or like to drive to a good tractor show, Portland Indiana has a good show in August. There is always several Cub Cadet parts people there. Or they have a swap meet in October and another in May.
