Mr. Wilson my mentor, 30 inch brushhog

Mr. Wilson my mentor. Years ago he made the first air cooled, 4 stroke outboard by putting a B&S engine on top of a Evinrude lower gear. After seeing that, I decided there isn't anything you can't build.

I have a need in old gravel pit to mow around flower beds and in places the Farmall C can't go and so rugged a riding mower will get hung up. I also wanted to cut small brush and trees.

Well after a few design changes, I came up with the perfect solution. 33 inch snapper deck. 30 inch blade that won't bend. A 3.5 hp briggs running at a fast idle. If it gets ahold of something too big, motor dies. Blade is 5 inches off the ground. Put a castor wheel on back so I can back into tight spots. 2 point connection to the back of a craftsman Lawn tractor, bar tires, removed deck and it close enough to tractor any flying woodchips go under the tractor instead of hitting me in the back. All under budget. Only had to buy a new blade and belt. Repurposed a craftsman want to be DR string trimmer frame and engine to mount engine with a pulley. This is the revised version of a previous post. Got it perfect.

Look at the ground of one pic, you will see about a 1 inch stump it cut off. The other pic shows a big hole in the ground to give you some idea how rugged the ground is. There was a few places, I got hung up because of the ruff conditions. Had to get off and pull the tractor sideways.
