Does my heart good to see this. Today it's far more common to see a church close than build. Blessings on you and all who helped!

Looks good! Nice simple building that couldn't have been all that expensive to build.

Church in a town not to far from me built a new building a few years ago. Started out the ladies ask for a simple kitchen remodel. Somehow that wound up being a whole new building. 1.6 million dollars! And they ran out of money and it's never been completely finished inside to this day! Building is almost as big as the parking lot. When they ran out of money everyone in town, my mother and father in law included got letters from the church telling them that because that church had been part of the community for so many years they needed to donate to finish the building. Everyone in town got that letter regardless of the church they attended! The real stupid part was they borrowed the money to build instead of raising it first!

I much prefer to see an inexpensive building and the church doing what it's supposed to do.

That is awesome. In this world that is spinning out of control it is so nice to see that Gods kingdom is still expanding.

Weve got about 120,000 in the building,We saved 50,000 and financed 50,000 and accumulated 20,000 while building it.Building the building was in-expensive its actually the furniture and material you don't really need, sound equ, steeple, ect

Good for you! With so many churches closing on both sides of our border, it sure is heartening to see a new one become established. Congratulations and many years of worship to you. Ben

Very nice, Jimmy!

I remember you posting that your congregation was going to put up a new building.

Our church owns land for a new building (all paid for)... but not sure when we will do a building. Probably a good ways down the road yet.

Congratulations. Your church looks nice and bright and welcoming. I especially like to see the piano in the corner. The last church in our little town is closing, so it does my heart good to see people doing positive things. Sounds like the financial part was well thought out. Bet there were some interesting meetings over that! Again, congratulations. Unc

Good for you and your fellowship. It is good that you have plenty of land in back to expand onto. Then your sanctuary can become a vestibule, LOL. We had around fifty regular attendees when we put up our own building in 1980. The capacity of the sanctuary is 212, and in 1985 we added on to make it 50% larger. We borrowed in order to do it,and a lot of volunteer labor was included, yet it was still a leap of faith. But God has been good to us, and it has been all paid for for a long time. It should not be so, but a building gives a church a sort of "legitimacy" to many people, and brings a lot of new members. Yet it is the faithful teaching of Gods word which brings and keeps the real believers.

One meeting,Our little congregation never though they would see a new church,We were meeting in a building not in the picture which we have turned into a Fellowship building. Our church was started by a pastor from a nother church and when the money ran out he left. When I announced we were building people got excited and had a mind to work

I am not Baptist but I'm still a Christian and I think you and your congregation can be very proud of what you have done. God has sent many great talents and abilities to your group!

I was thinking the same thing Bret - around here they go away. I've never seen one built!

Good job Jim.

The Church Family should be proud, God is Good.
