Looked pretty threatening this afternoon but it went North of me by a few miles and I got only a few spots of rain. Made an impressive background for a few photos.

I like that car. When I was in high school in the mid 60's a friend had one like that. It was
cream colored and he had it all decked out. He was always telling how fast it would go. A
bunch of us timed pine trees in the summer and we keep him busy and a couple other guys put an
auto bomb on it. Lunch time came and he was going on about his car. He got in and started it
up nothing happened. He got almost to the road and the bomb went off. The smoke rolled out
from under it and it made a whistle sound he jumped out of it and ran back and looked at it.
Everybody was almost rolling on the ground and he started laughing. He said we all had a big
payback coming. I saw these guys in Jan and we had breakfast he was asked if he remembered and
he did. He said he still owed up. I was very surprized that he still has this car and drives
it on short trips still shined up like new

I bet he was surprised. I've never heard of an "auto bomb" but guess it would get your attention. Got any pictures of that Mercury?
