Looking at a NH 855 baler its about 150 miles from me so I haven't seen it in person.Question about the tieing set up it has two short arms in front and two twine boxes is this a good or bad tie set up as I know they had several different ways to tie a bale.

had same set up years and never any problems. Baled a lot with it and never had any troubles out of it but finally just wore it out so we traded it off.

Is that the electric or hydraulic tie? Does it need a moniter because this guy doesn't have a moniter with the baler. To complicate things he's selling it for some lady who's husband died and knows nothing about the baler. Can I get the specs on the baler from NH with the serial number?

mine is that way but it is auto tie, bale gets made you hear a click then the twine arms drop with a bang and it starts tying the bale no electric or hydraulic to mine

Mine is manual hydraulic tie, got the 2 arms and twine boxes like you describe.

Needs 2 remotes.

Nothing automatic about mine. I watch the bale size indicator, when bale is at size, push the remote lever so arms go to the outside and twine starts feeding. Remote back the other way, when arms are back in the center, the knives close and cut the twine.

Nothing fancy, but it works well.
