OT: The 3 [no 4] bears

Bush hogging the other day had a sow and 3 cubs sprint across and head on north. How common is it for a sow to have triplets? They were each about twice the size of a house cat and had trouble getting over some downed timber.

Oh man! All I have to worry about is the occasional roadrunner or something slithering across the ground. The hawks that follow me clean up the field rats.

Triplets are rare. We have bear around us, last year a sow and 2 cubs watched me plant beans for a half day. They will make a mess in a corn field.

Tractor with no cab ? or even with a cab. What if she didn't like you there ? Scary thought.

The bear population is growing in VA presently, isn't it? My daughter says they are seeing more and more bears in recent years.

Seems to be on the rise. Of course, nobody in the history of bears has ever seen a 'small bear'. We had a game camera last year that caught, in order of appearance, a flock of turkeys, a small herd of deer, a bear, and finally just a bear's eye. The camera must have made a noise and why the bear didn't eat it I can't imagine.

I seen a sow with 3 cubs about a month ago.I have seen 9 bear in the last month,NW Wisconsin,usually see 3 or 4 a year

Here in NW pa. My Uncle Raymond shot & legally killed a black in 1972, this was @ the time
1st legally harvested bear taken in Crawford Co in something like 50+ years. 2 Years ago the
hunters harvested 69 bears in the county.. Last years number were Way down due to NO snow.. On
my desk top screen saver is a picture take off the farm with 3 Bears, I have another with the
partial 4th bear too. Personally I've seen 5 together myself. They are getting to be everywhere.
