AllanNE Ford truck fires

neighbor just lost a shop from fire started by his 2009 pickup. He always left the key in the ignition.
Was wondering if this was a cause of your fire?

Can't speak for Allan, but I think his was something to do with the home heating system if I recall. Stands out in memory because although I promptly have my boiler serviced every spring, I still check things out in the boiler room on a regular basis, more so since that terrible fire they had.

IIRC he lost the PU but it was not the cause. However there is a recall on some Ford trucks for Potential fires. Jim

I know of at least two fires caused by newer fords. Someone I know was parked a few cars away when one lit up, got his truck smoked(burned) from it.

The second was the house right down the road, took house (and everything in it), a second car, and a big camper trailer. Had quite a few departments there, just keeping the pine trees cool, or it could of gone way worse.

Allen showed pics of both brands. The Ford was his good truck and he'd chase livestock with that Chevy.

At least that what I got out his posts.
