Vermeer 605H belts not running centered

Most of the belts are running to one side. Broke 3 belts on one side today. They are all same length and correct length per owners manual. The two wide belts on each side are 514" and the 6 narrow belts in the middle are 512". They were cut and spliced using a square. Barrens in the rollers are all good. Any ideas?

Does that baler have an adjustable 'tracking roller' on it? I am mostly familiar with Hesston balers and they have a movable roller for proper belt tracking.

You need to get your bale started faster and feed the material in more evenly.
Once you get a bake started alternate feeding the material from one side to the other and ignore the middle.
A 605H will make nice bales but it does take some effort from the operator.

I think Determined has it right. I had a 605D and if I wasn't careful starting the bale or didn't maintain an even bale the belts would run to one side or even twist. It's worse in light winrows. I used to tell people the best way to make a good bale was to drink a 6 pack before I went to the field, it was easier to weave back and forth on the winrow :D

At the top of the baler are turnbuckles that are intended to be used for re-squaring the baler/belt tracking. These turnbuckles are 9 times out of 10 frozen/seized. I have found when all the belts are tracking one direction the tailgate being bent or crooked to be the culprit. On bale starting in light windrows try hitting the windrow at 90 degrees or at a slight angle to get hay all the way across the throat faster. Once baler is started then watch the belts to see which side needs hay.
