Tube recommendation

Can someone recommend a high quality heavy duty inner tube for a 15.5 x 38. I bought a cheap tube on ebay for $54 and after about two weeks, my tire was flat again. After removing the tube, I found that the leak was coming from where the valve stem attaches to the tube. It looks like it started to pull apart. I don't want any more cheap tubes.

I just had a tube replaced in our tractor for that exact same problem. 18.4-34 and has fluid in it. It was 10 ? years old but hardly any use on it.
It sure is a crap shoot on quality control anymore.

Standard tubes seem to be half as thick as they used to be and don't hold good very well.
After several flats from standard tubes having pin holes in them from a small spec of dust in the tire I now only use heavy duty radial tubes even in bias ply tires.

Firestone has a good heavy tube not cheep but about three times thicker than regular tubes.

I bought a pair of firestone 16.9 tubes from the local tire place last week for $88. They offered Michelins for $92 and reccomended them if I were going to run fluid.

Always buy a radial tube, Firestone if you can find it. They are thicker than bias tubes, so they can withstand the flexing of a radial. They will work fine in a bias tire.

The tube box said it on there if I remember. I have someone else do my tires and he brings it with him.

First question is why the heck flea bay for something you can buy local and have some warranty on it??
I year or so ago I got a tube for my ford tractor and it lasted maybe a week and the seam opened up on it. I pulled it back out took it back the where I got it and they handed me a another tube for nothing. I have at least 3 places in town I can buy tubes form and the local farm and home place is the one I am less likely to buy form because they want twice what the tire places want and there tubes are from China

I just checked my old supplier, a 15.5X38 Firestone bias tube should cost you between 50.00 and 60.00 from a mom and pop tire store. They are all we used to use.

There should be no force there to pull it apart unless your rim is turning in the tire. Maybe you need more tire pressure or rim locks or less power.

I got a bill in the mail today for a repair .

12.4R28 firestone tube. $40.00
35 gallons of rim guard $96.25
Dismount Mount $45.00
Scale and power brush rim(It was bad) $25.00
Father Son shop. They only use Firestone tubes.
