This is my oldest son Eric. He just finnished his degree a few weeks ago and had a job waiting for him at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn. This is his second go at school, he went to a 2 year program right out of high school to become an electrician and did well there, but that just wasn't for him. After he finnished that he signed up for a hitch in the Navy for Seal training. Spent over 3 years there, til he was injured training just before being assigned to the teams and was given a medical discharge and minor disability. So then it was back to college for a lab technition. He did real well there as well and went right into the Mayo after graduation a few weeks back. Today was his first day on the job. I couldn't be more proud of him.

Congratulations! You have a right to be proud of a fine all american son. Maybe he will run into my second cousin. She went to Cornell, ROTC, did her time and is a doctor at the Mayo Clinic. Sorry she is already married.

Good for him! I went to different schools with Eric Fiedler. His mom was a Vouk from the St. Stephen family that had the Steam Show. Jon, do you have relation in Stearns Co.?

They are a different off shoot that you have to go all the way back to the late 1800's in Germany to find the connection. My sisters did a family tree a few years back that they popped up on. I've never met any of them.

congrats , the best feeling in the world is when your kids get on with there lives and are doing good. By the way my wife works at Mayo in nw Rochester , in the call center for the lab she may be working with him, small world right!
