Deck red this from my property about a decade ago. Ready to find out what it is and sell it
would think its a logging winch to go behind a crawler or a tractor. The way the hitch is made makes me think more along the line of a crawler.(quoted from post at 13:58:29 06/06/16) Deck red this from my property about a decade ago. Ready to find out what it is and sell it

(quoted from post at 16:00:57 06/06/16) I don't know about that one. But my father-in-law ran a "buckeye" field trencher, instaling field tile. He did a lot of muck ground and was stuck many times. He rigged a winch mounted on a 2 wheel trailor. It was driven via a PTO through a 4 speed transmission . It would just craw along at a very slow speed , just what he needed to get through the "low" spots. That thing would pull a tractor into two pieces post haste!
This link is to a trencher very much like his except FIL's machine has a live front axel. That man could hold a "grade" as good or BETTER than the new lazer machines!

Around Dalton Georgia(quoted from post at 19:12:55 06/06/16) I agree, it does look like some sort of antique winch. Where are you located? If you're not too far I might be interested in it

If you can find an approximate value and we can come to an agreement you can come get this doggine thing.(quoted from post at 15:12:09 06/06/16) One thing is for sure. This piece of machinery would NOT be OSHA approved.
I don't know what it is but I don't have one so I must need it!
