After 50 years of getting along with what we had, it was time for an update. One of our old evaporators started leaking badly and was beyond repair. We bought a newer more efficient one to replace both of them.
We had to get the old evaporators out, remove all the old cracked cement floor, cable and jack the structure back to straight and level, and tare out and pour a new retaining wall where the building is built into the ledge.
We made the first pour yesterday. 7.5yds to do the new floor. We had to do the floor before we could build and ancor forms for the knee wall and slab where the 2 1000g storage tanks set. That will probably be at least a 7yd pour also. We pulled the windows out of the frount of the building and had the driver nose the chute in the windows so there wasn't any need for wheelbarrows. The redi-mix driver is a neighbor also.
Fortunately we have all the toys to do work like this. Compact trackhoe, skidsteer, plate tampers, lazer guided power screed ,and power trowler, and the knowledge needed to get the job done
