I have a Maytag Performa washer that is over filling. the hose to the cup on the outside of the tub appeared to be off. When
replaced it still over filled. I then replaced the hose. Same problem. I replace the water level switch. Same problem. I can
blow through the tube to the switch and get the machine to function (about as hard as you would have to blow to make a bubble in a
milk shake). I can blow from the switch to the tub and get bubbles in the tub. I can see water rising up the tube as the tub
fills. This suggests that the cup, inlet line for the pressure hose are clear. The machine stops filling when I unplug the
machine (indicative of a bad fill valve). There is no water leaking from the tub, the cup outside the tube that the tube attaches
to or anywhere else I can see.
I am really stumped.
