Right in my backyard, I really don't need any more projects right now haha... Steve, what area of Va are you in? I'm around the Staunton area. I'm pretty frequent to the forums just don't post much.

Friday was mainly made for orchards and I think it had a fast road gear, made in southwestern Michigan, I think...

Correct and I have seen them, very simular to a Love tractor made in same area for same thing at same time frame. Truck engine, tranny and rear end. If I remember correctly a Chrysler product parts.

Friday tractor was made by a a farmer/orchardist in SW Michigan. Near Coloma, as I recall. Few years ago there was an orchard by the name of Farmer Friday's. Tractor looked a lot like the Love tractor. High road gear for transporting loads of fruit to market.

Hey Steve,
I grew-up in Trevilians Va near where 33 and 22 meet. Still have the property.
Live in Richmond now.
My grandparents / uncles had a dairy farm further up the road about 3 miles at Green Springs.

Pic of Friday tractor. Those Chrysler Industrial engines were pretty rugged. We had them in our Cockshutt 112 SP combines; liked to hear those engines just chuckling along doing their job.

The Friday tractor was built at Hartford, Michigan. Back in the 50s and 60s there were a lot of them in the orchard country of North western Indiana and South western Michigan.

Oddballl site had some info on Friday and Loves- makers were related nephew/uncle if I remember right, same extended family. Dodge truck parts, engine, drivetrain, multiple transmissions and highway geared for the fast hauling of fruits and some veggies to canneries in Michigan after picking in orchards. Some had PTO and Hydraulics, base model was a puller only- could be used for plow and disc work with the normal 1950s pull type equipment- comparable to w4 and W6 IHC for that. RN
