I am starting to love McMaster Carr

I bearing went out on my old metal cutting band saw on the drive wheel. It dug into the shaft pretty good to. Started looking around and found the bearing on McMaster Carr. They also had shafts with key already cut. Thought I should replace the tires on the wheels and they had those also. Needed some stuff for another project I am working on so got those also. Entered the order last night about 6 pm. $80 in parts and $6 in shipping for UPS ground. I got the parts delivered less than 24 hour latter. It comes out of Chicago which is about 200 miles away. I looked at the UPS tracking number and they filled the order last night and had it shipped to Oshkosh which is a distribution hub for UPS. It went out on the route for deliver first thing this morning. I can get used to sourcing parts this way. I just finished up putting the saw back together.

ditto on the ditto. We use them every day, spend hundreds of thousands per year with them. 95% of the stuff is here the next day (from Chicago or Cleveland to Detroit area). Return policy is fantastic, just send them a box with stuff after a job is done and they figure out which order we bought it on and when we bought it and credit our account.

Ditto times 3. I have never had a problem with them and have never had to ask for assistance to find something. We have a local hardware store I get most items from but anything beyond that I am with McMaster Carr.

When I worked as a maintenance mechanic in a mill they were my favorite company. Now I order to support my hobbies, Tractors, Machine tools, etc. They always say, "and you will have this order tomorrow". Well sometimes it is the day after tomorrow but never later. They almost never backorder, know what they are talking about, have no minimum order (although I try and never order less than $25 or 30). Reading the catalog (if you can get one) is an education too. It is a pleasure doing business with them. I can't say enough good about this company. From time to time I tell the sales rep this too. I keep a list of stuff I want/need, then when I NEED something I have enough on the list usually to make a reasonable order and I don't forget anything.

I have dealt with McM for around 40+ years (personally and professionally) and found them to be an excellent company in all regards including product spectrum, pricing, courtesy, and delivery. A lot of "businesses" could well learn from them. (No affiliation with them other than as a pleased customer.)

I've had the same experience; they have NEVER been out of what I've needed and if I order before 2 in the afternoon, I got the parts before noon the following day.

If my small hometown hardware store doesn't carry an item; they order it from MMC and I have it next day. Saves gas and time.

Been using them for about 18 years now, and love them. Usually my stuff ships out of Georgia, and I have it the next day.

Between them, MSC, Travers Tool, and Wholesale Tool, there's not much you can't find.
