What's your rainy day project.

I always seem to find a leaky hydraulic cylinder to repair.

Learned how to take shortcuts. Remove piston while cylinder is on tractor.

Use brake hone to clean up the end.

My homemade 1 inch belt sander to polish the chrome rod with 120g.

Your fingers can feel nicks your eyes may miss. The belt sander puts a mirror like finish on rod.

I would use a lathe if I could figure out how to attach rod, no end center pin. Besides the belt is going very fast.

I give up. Second Pic on computer is normal, YT rotated it. I tried rotating it on computer, YT rotated it back. I give up. YT does it to me all the time, usually when I post from phone.

So what's your rainy day project?

Started off watering plants in the garden, been really dry for a week. When the rain started I was so happy to see it I went in the house and watched it(one eye at a time of course, actually took a nap).

Several at once yesterday. First rainy day we have had in a long time.
Fixing up a very old tricycle to give to the grandson, had to weld some spokes back in the wheels, plus fix up the frame.
Make up a step to make claiming on the back of the ute tray a bit easier. (Yes, I'm feeling the age)
Restoring a Wico magneto for an old Hercules engine
Restoring parts for the Hercules engine

And yes, I got a bit done on all jobs yesterday. Very enjoyable day in the workshop.

When its raining pretty good, I throw the training decoy for the lab to fetch. Fun for both if us!

Made a set of clamp on forks for our Kubota (baby) tractor. Copied the ones I made for the Ford NAA only a little lighter and shorter. They are great for stacking limbs and brush to haul to burn pile. Sure will NOT be lifting big bales with them! joe

Changing the shovels on the anhydrous applicator. I side dress my corn and found some shovels that are suppose to seal the slot better to keep the vapor from escaping.

It's a horse (2 x 4 opening) panel, the kind they can't walk down off-set doubled up making it around 1 x 4 from Runnings. Used less than 1/2 the panel.
Do have a roll of 1/2 x 1 rabbit fencing to put over it should I want it to screed down to 1/2"
