1996 chevrolet 1500 tailight question

I have a 96 chevy pickup. Flashers work on all lights, running taillights work, third brake light works, dash lights work, but I have no brake lights and no turn signals front or back or on the dash. I looked through the fuse's and didn't see any trouble. Any idea what might be wrong, I don't understand why the flashers and third brake light work but blinkers and brake lights don't. Thanks for any help or information.

This is just a guess, could be dirty contacts where the 4 way flasher switch over rides the turn signals/brake lights. Try some contact cleaner, operate the switch a few times.

I'd put money on a bad turn signal switch, my 98 dodge truck lost stop lights except for the 3rd one on the cab, but had turn signals, bad switch.

I would guess the turn signal switch. Seems the turn signal switch is the center of all kinds of lighting issues on these trucks. I have a 1996 silverado that my low beams stopped working. Went thru the whole system and came back to the turn signal combo switch. The switch costs a couple hundred bucks and is a pain to replace with the airbag ect, so I just wired my low beams to a toggle switch on the dash. Added benefit is I can run my high and low beams at the same time making a lot more light.

Theres a relay under the hood thats bad. Take the one out for the AC and put it in its place and see if it works (Same relay). (Assuming its the same as a 97.)

I switched those two around, but blinkers still didnt' work and ac worked with it switched, so it must be in the blinker switch or something else I am missing.
