I haven't been to a flat track race in decades. They used to run the TH 1/2 mile dirt at the fair grounds. Didn't they have a 1 mile track, the springfield mile in Ill? It was close but never went.

When I was younger the triumphs were the king of flat tracks. Can't remember who won few championships on one.

I was a fan of british iron. 650 TR6R. Nothing like the handing of a triumph on dirt. Another story driving a GL1200 on a gravel road.
