6 Volt portable jump starter

Question:
I am more an old car guy, than a vintage tractor guy. More importantly, I am working with Interstate Batteries on a project. I am seeking some feedback from everyone as to what the interest would be in a small lightweight portable 6 volt jump starter? This is not a battery charger, but a completely portable jump starter.

Also, for those who will reply, please tell me what sort of cold cranking amps (CCA) these vintage tractor starter motors typically require.

Thank you,
JB

sems like a 6v battery with thick 3' set of jump cables hooked to bat posts would be fine. stick it on a hand cart with a bunji.

all the old tractor shows I go to.. someone has a bat on a han d cart as a portable jump starter.

usually see someone with a push lawnmower with no blades and an alternator belted on with a set of cables, using it as a portable battery charger.

i love old tractor shows. :)

I and many others use a 12 volt jumper/battery to start old cat dozers that have a 6 volt starter--just limit the time you spin the starter over so it doesn't overheat.

I wouldn't buy one. I use my 12V on the 6Vstarter. It spins fast so the tractor starts almost instantly.

For those who are advocating using jumping a 6 volt with a 12 volt jumper want to be very careful not to use them on systems like the John
Deere starting engine equipped tractors. You will instantly burn out two very expensive coils on the starting engine and until they are replaced
you never will start that engine.

I hook 12 volts directly to the 6 volt starter and jump it that way. Doesn't hurt anything. I don't think there is a market for it. A battery charger that kicks way down on the 6 volt setting after the battery is charged like it does on the 12 volt setting might be nice. Anyone else have that problem?
