It is cold here in central NY. Weather broke earlier this month and most area farmers were able to get their oats and seedings in, but weather is still rainy with temps today not reaching 50.
Me and my 440 took a ride up to the wood lot today. (the green carpet is Myrtle) The oat covercrop for alfalfa look good and the alfalfa has sprouted. the uncles here on Clinton Camp Farm have also got some corn and beans in the ground between rains, but the weather is not co-operating, to finish the planting.
The cold wet May, hopfully will lead to a "barn full of hay", but in the meantime, I'm still burning wood to keep the wifey warm and comfie. More work cutting fire wood for me this summer!!
Darn!!!-Hope it warms up soon around here.
