New toy for today

Only once before has there been a JD working here. Drove it 5 miles last night to pull out the MF 65 again and gonna disc a couple acres with it before it has to go back home tomorrow. Not a Deere guy but it runs and works. First time this thing will have done tillage for 8 years. Still working on getting used to the hand clutch.

Is that a 60 or a 70? Looks like a 60.

I was raised on the 620 then we added 720. I moved out on my own and didn't drive one till a few years ago. I was surprised I took to it like I never quit. I now have the 620. My dad bought it new in 1958 when he was in 10th grade. It won't leave while I'm still alive.

I grew up on an A then a 70 then a 720 had an chance to disc this spring with a 620 for a couple hours - it's like riding a bike you don't forget. Dad never hardly drove the Deeres he much preferred the IH tractors till the New Gens came out then it went pretty much all green. kj

You're right, like riding a bike. Right hand pulls the clutch and right starts popping the gears.

We had a 60 and a 50. The 50 was kinda a disappointment but that 60 could run with the best of them.

Uh, right. I DO NOT like that MF 65! It is the worst tractor I have ever done anything with. Seems like that thing would get stuck if you let the clutch out too fast on gravel.
