JD 60 with sheller (pics)

I found this for sale on the side of the road. I'm not sure I've ever seen one with a mounted sheller before. Will a 60 handle it ok while pulling a small wagon? I'll post price if anyone is interested. I can't imagine the owner would mind

The sixty will handle it in 130 bushel corn. My hat is off to the person who spent the time to make that outfit look pretty. The grille screen looks like an M&W Super Snoot but I have never seen one flared out on top like this one. Now it needs a MUFFLER with the heat shield around it. Can't see if it has the side screens for the engine area. Years ago when those outfits were still used a local farmer would proclaim loudly that a picker sheller like that shelled out of both ends. LOL

Yes, that is a very nice unit, it is a tuff job to paint an outfit like that..It would look good ay Rantual...I have a Deere front snoot that we used back then 0n a 60 and a 720,,but no picker..

I'm a bit confused by that picker and that sheller. Dad had a JD #237 picker with a JD #50 sheller and neither unit resembles his. Could that picker or sheller be New Idea units or some other brand painted JD colors?

I agree it looks like a New Idea picker/sheller to me. Dad had one like that, and it would make the 3020 work pretty hard.

I saw that one too on my way to the Jones, MI. swap meet. I thought it looked different but I just slowed and kept moving because of traffic, it didn't occur to me it was not a John Deere picker. Thanks for posting it.
