Hi Friends,
My manual gave me the gap on the top 2 rings, but nothing about the 3rd rings. I guess it's called the oil rings. What do I have to do to install the rings correctly?
Thanks Smokey

Smokey37 The end gap for all 3 rings should be .012-.017,Important if using used pistons be sure the piston ring side clearance is with in specs top ring 0.0015-0.0035, second ring 0.0010-0.0025,oil ring0.0015-0.0030.oil and Stagger the piston ring gaps before installing them.Worn pistons with to much ring side clearance is as bad or worse than worn out rings.

Thanks for the info. I had new sleeves put in. bought kit from YT, new pistons etc.The shop was supposed to fit the new pistons to the sleeves. We'll see. thanks again, Smokey
