Rocks Spreading

Thanks for sharing, there was a Super 90 on a sale a week ago that I wanted to go see and maybe buy, but had to many logs on the fire to go that day.

Almost all tractor loaders have the bucket control cylinder on top of the lift arm.You could damage a bucket cylinder rod on that set up awful easy. Looks like the old 50 is up to the task.

I guess you have to work with what you got, that looks like a job for a small dozer to me. I'd be afraid of breaking something doing that job with that setup and it looks like too good of a machine to break by over working it.

Yes, very true, i work with what i have but would much prefer a heavier unit like a crawler or articulated loader. So I go slow and careful trying not to strain the old Massey too hard. Loading the rocks is really hard too. Works well in gravel though.
And yes, those bucket cylinders mounted under the frame are a bit unusual but I have not damaged one yet in 20 years of use.

Well I dare say in that case that you are one hell of a good operator then.

You have reminded me of the old saying, "If you can't be good, be careful". You have to be at least a bit of both to keep old machinery on the job.
