2000 Coachman fifth wheeler

I was thinking about offering my dad some money for his 2000 22 foot Coachman fifth wheeler. It is in nice shape they have stoped useing it because dad is 86 years old and does not drive any more. what I thought to do is first write out on this and see what type of price to drum up to offer him for this unit. Than I could get it tougher and go on a trip to see some tractor shows. Just maybe get lucky and find some tractor salvage places to buy parts for my projects to. So if you can think up how much money do you think it is worth. Thanks again.

Here is a link to the NADA guide book on 2000 Coachman RVs.

Here is a list of some that are for sale. You need to know the exact model of the RV. Coachman is a brand name not a model.

I have one that I bought two years ago that is in excellent condition. The previous owner stored it inside and kept it covered, and now I do too. I paid $4400 for mine. Money well spent. We don't use it real often, but it is plenty nice for the times we want to go camping during the summer and fall seasons. I bought mine at a local RV dealer, but I called within an hour after he posted it for sale on Craigslist. I know the owner, and told him I'd be there at 10 am the next day to look at it. When I got there to look at it, he already had several phone calls on it. It didn't take me long to decide to buy it. Perfect size for pulling my 17ft boat behind too.

I have a friend (an Electrical engineer) that worked in Mishawauka, Indiana in the travel trailer industry and Coachman was one of the two brands he recommended. The other was Jayco...

Your location will make some difference but if it were here 3000-6500 would be my guess and it would probably sell in the 5k range.

In the year 2000 my parents bought it brand new for the price of 14,000 dollors they paid cash for it. They loaded it up and went for a trip back east. They wanted to see the white house and some other sites. When they got there to see the white house it was closed due to the 9-11 attacks. I think Iam going to try the buy pitch to dad and let him know that there is a trip back east in the deal with him comeing along. I am retireing from my JOB because I am stressed out from it and this will give me the time to go back east with a trailer and take my time. You know see tractor shows and see some of you who I would really like to met along the way. My Dad has said he wanted to make another trip goiong back to the east just maybe I will do it with him this summer. Thanks for your prices yes it will help to.Brent
