After going through torque on my 460 .It steers harder than I remember . It not like it's not working at all but not as easy as it did before.Any help would be appreciated
 
Assuming you mean that you repaired the TA. There is no relationship between the two components except taking it apart and possibly getting a bit of dirt in the hydraulic system. The regulator valve is where I would start after checking pressures. Jim
 
If it's a row crop model the steering shaft might be the trouble, not allowing the splined shaft at the steering box to move in and out as it should. Does it act better in on direction than the other?
 
I agree with Diesel Tech. When assembling the steering shaft you most likely positioned it slightly different. Also, they often bind at that center bearing by starter and just a rap with a hammer will align the self centering bushing.
 
A 460 has a separate pump mounted piggy back on main pump. You no doubt saw then when rebuilding the TA. The flow control and pressure relief valve is all in that pump.
