IH Truck Question

A little off topic but does anyone know where the back up light switch is on a 74 IH 1600 loadstar? I have the 5+2 transmission and can't find the switch or if it even has one. My reverse lights do not work right now. Should be part number 367098C91

My guess is it's on the side of the transmission up buy the top buy the shift tower

Here's the pic. It's on the right rear as you look down at the Trans from the top

I bet that's it where those 2 wires are going below the right rear bolt hole. I'll check on mine and see if it has that.

That's it in the picture. My Scouts had the same one. It uses a ball that drops into a notch in the shift rail.

Hey Mike, was I right in saying it was the piece with the two wires coming out the top? If so, mine doesn't have it, didn't even see a place for one. Only wires I saw coming down around the tranny is for the two speed. Did some trucks not have reverse lights?
