96 F250 electrical problems farm truck

On my 96 F250 the turn signals, brake lights hazard lights and backup lights quit working,I had this problem awhile back and replaced the turn signal switch and that
fixed it now it quit again and I replaced the switch again from another parts store and it didnt fix it,the windshield wipers and the headlights and dash lights, all work,
the fuses are good can anybody give me some advice here. Thanks

The turn signal switch would not control the back up lights. The one thing the back up lights, turn signal, hazards, etc. have in common is the harness they share.

I would start by checking for obvious damage to the wiring in vulnerable areas, like under the rear bumper, especially where trailer light harnesses attach, anywhere there are connections that may be corroded. If that looks good, check what's going into the turn signal switch and what's coming out.

Is it just the rear or front too? Trailer wiring or somewhere in the back messed up? Anyway the power circuits are not common among those bulbs, there are 4 different fuses and various switches to supply power to the bulbs, the ground circuit and locations are common if the problem is rear only or rear and left front. The ground circuits for the rear and LF lamps is on the core support, drivers side of radiator. The RF lamps ground at the RH inner fender apron. You might have multiple problems too if that many bulbs/circuits are affected.

I misread the first post. Turn sigs, brake and hazard lamps are all the same circuit or bulb ( I was thinking marker lamps were mentioned too). The reverse lamps are still on a different circuit all together though. I would still make sure the wiring is not messed up anywhere you can easily see, especially around the bumper/trailer wiring spots and check for possible rubbing and for rat damage too. Sounds like you problem is the rear lamps only so make sure you check that ground on the core support beside the radiator.

connector or harness in column that goes to multi function switch , especially if tilt column. connectors latches break and do not fully seat , then eventually overheat and melt.

Thanks for all of the help but I found my problem the 4 way switch was on and that kills the circuit to the other lights and the 4 way does not work maybe a bad flasher havent checked that yet so I didnt know they were on anyway just wanted to update yall in case someone else has this problem. Thanks
