My husky 142 is a few years old and I can't find original muffler. I had an aftermarket muffler , but the assembly is different and the bolts came out. Can I use thread locker in this?

No, thread lock will not hold with heat. Possibly what you can do is screw in some studs, bottom them in the
hole, then use self locking nuts, (not Nylock).

If you can't find self locking nuts, take a regular nut, screw a bolt half way through the nut, squeeze the
other side of the nut enough to partially collapse the threads. Keep trying and squeezing until the nut just
binds on the bolt, that will give it some resistance to vibrating loose. You can also double nut it if you
can get a thin enough wrench to hold the back nut.

I have used metal pipe strapping, drill out the holes the bolts go through and leave enough on the ends to bend up to secure the bolt heads. Or drill the heads and wire them.
