Farmall H fired right up today

My H has original ignition and carburetor, I turned the fuel on, gave it a couple of minutes, quick burst of choke and it fired right up, no smoke.

I love watching what happens with the fuel injection project on an old tractor but these engines just run remarkably well for 70 year old technology. I've got an M I do my feed grinding with every week or so. It always fires right up and is ready to go. Always amazes me even after all of these years.

My MH44 is my experimental, the H is a working tractor, it tedder's hay, moves wagons and runs the 10' disk real nice for working up smaller areas.

I went to start my Ford 971 today, first time since December. The battery was dead and would not take a charge. It can't be any more than fifteen years old.

I went to fire up my yard art (cause it only gets used once or twice a year for a few hours) M and it failed to start. Thinking I should send that POS to the crusher and get a real tractor that has IPTO and live hydraulics!

This was a tractor my dad got that was stuck, he re-ringed it, and it always smoked some. I have been keeping the oil clean with 15W-40 and working it good, so not as much smoke now. It runs so darn good I do not plan to touch the engine.
