Ruger lcr revisit

I had a chance to handle another Ruger LCRx revolver. This one did rattle when shook but nothing like the first one I picked up. The cylinder also locked up like it should as well. I guess the first LCR I looked at was a lemon.
 
I have a Ruger LCP. New out of the box it had more play in it that my Kahr that a couple thousand rounds through it.
The LCP was a lot cheaper than the Kahr.

I agree with Pat Sublett I have the 43 and love it, Glock should have made this years ago. A very good CC gun.
 
For a small revolver I still like the Smith&Wesson SS model 60 with custom rubber grips that leave just enough hammer exposed so you can cock or let hammer down and won't snag pocket taking it out.

Yeah, that's what Ilike about my H&R 732s in .32 S&W Long.
 
I just bought a Ruger LCR in .22 magnum. It seems like the trigger pull is harder than it should be, but everyone tells me that is normal for a rimfire.

Nice little pocket gun.

a while back I shot a Ruger LCR at the range. A rental gun from the place. It didn't have any of the problems you described with the first one you handled. Since then I handled several in various gun stores and all seemed well put together. I own a number of Ruger firearms including an old "Security Six" in 357 mag and have found them to be well built and reliable. The only complaint I have with the Security Six is that yo don't seem to be able to smooth up the action like on a S&W revolver
 
Glock did make it years ago but could not import it to this country because of guns size. So they are built them in this country and get around law.
