Anybody got anything good or bad to say about these ?

I think they're ok, they'll work just fine. May not be as good as a hose made of Gates hose. Seems like a lot of the time the outer covering cracks a lot sooner than a Gates or other name brand manufacturer's outer covering. Once that happens, they seem to rust and burst quickly. But, in a pinch or in a piece of equipment that isn't used all day every day, they work fine and will last quite a while. I have found that sometimes, because it's "pre-made, ready to go" they actually charge more for them than you can go have a better hose made for, just depends on the store you buy it at.

I paid 20 bucks for this its 60 inches long I was on a bind so I figured I'd give it a whirl

It's a cheap 100R2 hose probably from China or India. It performs it's intended task and has to meet minimum performance standards for impulse, burst, proof, oil and ozone resistance, change in length, etc. The cover may not last as long as name brand and won't bend as tight as a 100R16 or 100R17 from Gates or Parker. You'd be hard pressed to find a Gates hose made at Napa or Motion Industries that costs less in that size and pressure rating. The retail price of the couplings and hose is more than that whole assembly costs, doesn't include the time for the guy measuring, finding the right hose and couplings, cutting hose, setting crimper dies and actually crimping the ends on.

After I get my other loader cylinder sealed And this new hose I should have a leak free loader .

I used to have a chunk of 1/2" hyd. hose around and reusable type fittings. Came in handy in a pinch. Sort of a must have when you own a backhoe.

Mike M, Yup, same here. only had to use them once. Usually a hose will spring a slow leak and I'll have time to replace it before it turns into a gusher.
