Hello all. New to forums and looking forward to hopefully a lot of questions answered, because I'm sure I'll have a ton of them. LOL.

Anyway, I'm new to the tractors and I'm beginning to research and try to learn more about various era of tractors. I'm looking into beginning to restore to "Parade" quality of a Case tractor and was curious what steps that some of you that have done this before, which steps I should be looking at first. I know about finding one that I want to restore, but I'm not sure what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for for the time - Jack

WELCOME! :D

what modelthere just arent that many around depending on what you are looking for. Being new to tractors the VAC would be a good one to find small and simple tires arent that expensive

If it isn't running try and get it to run before you do anything else. That way you can see just
what you need to "restore".

What Gene said...don't know what you're going to do with it, but if you could find a VAI (industrial version), those little guys will scoot right down the road. Fun for tractor rides!

That you for the hospitality. Yes, new to tractors and one style that I was looking at is the VAC. I'm going to be using it just to drive in parades and probably hay rides when the kiddos get older. Just wanted to restore some with my kids and make memories that will be with them forever.

There are several good books on restoring tractors written by guys who are consistent show winners that will take you through a step by step process starting with selecting a tractor based on price/condition and going from there. Some are brand specific but can be applied to any brand.

Welcome.

No matter what you buy get the operator and repair manual too. Parts manual is a plus!
