I have seen on other forums that members were buying Kubota lamp timers to replace the Ford lamp timer 385870300, model number S81NF. But no one actually stated if they were interchangeable. Does anyone on here have any knowledge on this subject. If so what is the model number of the Kubota lamp timer. Thanks, Roy

I have been wondering myself if they actually work as a direct sub., but I do not have a proven answer for you.

Check out ebay auction #182074825765.

Roy I have no idea but the MOST COMMON timer control on KUBOTAs is 16415-65660 that is what times the thing , but the relay that powers it is 16415-65600/ Electrical parts are nonreturnable so you need to find you a good dealer that will let you look at one. I am thinking around 30 bucks , small black square with three spades coming out one end.

The timer does only one thing. Closes the ground circuit to the coil of the GP and GP indicator relays. Its a very low current circuit. I was wondering if I just installed a momentary switch and counted to 5, I could achieve the same result as this piece of mystery electronics that seems prone to fail. My last replacement only lasted 2 months. Thoughts??
