Less than 3 weeks to Le Sueur swap meet

Hoping that work schedules and weather all cooperate so we can go to the swap meet at Le Sueur on April 23.

I've heard some say that they wish it was only tractors/parts - but we enjoy seeing about everything! It's the highlight of spring for us. Bought a claw-foot bathtub there a few years ago. LOL (Tub may become a "planter".)

Here's some pics of non-tractor things that caught my eye last year (didn't buy them - but they caught my eye...

Will post a few more pics in a reply so this one doesn't have too many pics.

You really should make plans to hit the 127 Yard Sale some year. We've met people who come from as far away as Alaska for that thing. You see license plates from as far away as the New England states to California. Four days of the most fun a junk addict could ever have. I think I know where we're going to start this year, but nothing's carved in stone. The most important thing is just that we're going to go. I'm already chomping at the bit.

Been thinking about taking my wife.... wonder what I can get for her? Maybe a couple of used spark plugs?

Its always interesting to see what people will "drag out" to sell lol. Most parts are decent but occasionally you run across something that should have been left where it was. I usually try to go on Saturday.

I will probably miss this year. Between wedding anniversary, my aunts 90th birthday party, and a few things on my wife's side of the family, that is a busy weekend! Made it last year.

Paul

Sweetfeet: You will have to take pictures for me. In three weeks we will be in the heat of planting hard so I can't sneak out for a few days that early. LOL

Hi all, I will be going on Friday, will be wearing a cap with "Zumbro Valley classic iron" hope to see some of you there. Pete

Wife is going to visit her mom that Sunday I was just informed, maybe I can be a tail ender on the deal after all. Often to me it seems Sunday is a poor day to visit events, most want to wrap up and get out of town, but it beats not going at all.

August 4-7. 690 miles,Addison Michigan to Gadsden Alabama. Or the other way around, depending on which end you start from. We go every year, have been for a long time now. Make hotel reservations a month ahead of time or you'll be sleeping in your car.

We go to the swap meet on Saturday.

Hey, does the Zumbro Valley Classic Iron do a threshing show in the summer? If yes, when and where?

JD Seller,

Sure will! Taking my phone an a camera (just in case). Hope the weather is conducive to good photos.

Paul,

We go Saturday... but if we HAD to, I'd go Sunday rather than miss it. Especially if one can go that morning (I'd would think some vendors would head out by early afternoon on Sunday if they have far to travel back home).

Well, if you see a portly couple... he with short grey hair and a big mustache and she with either a straw cowboy hat (or a hot pink DEKAB hat) and brown shoulder-length hair - say hello. We'll also have our teen daughter along.

green mechanic,

It's really tough to get my other half to commit to that... darn it. He's not quite as sociable as I am. LOL

But as I said to Allan K... if you see us - holler hello!
He: short grey hair and a big mustache.
Me: wearing either a straw cowboy hat (or a hot-pink DEKALB cap)... brown shoulder length hair.
Will have teen daughter with us.

WILL YOU be selling there? If yes, where will you be located? Would be fun to say hello.

old tanker,

That might just work!

Last year while I was snapping photos - my husband bought me a rusty wrench for display (gave it to me for our anniversary).

I like rust mixed with fancy stuff. As you can see by the photo... it's truly a "TWISTED" gift. LOL!

We go on Friday. The tradition the last few years has been anyone that is there from YT that we all meet at the firehouse at 12:00 noon. It is nice to put faces to names. Hope to see some of you there again this year.

rrlund,

Oldest daughter and I are going to a "100 Mile Garage Sale" in MN and WI for the first time in May. Really excited about it - should be a blast!!

Pretty sure it is from Thursday, May 5 - Sunday, May 8. And I think it runs from Winona, MN up to Red Wing, MN... and the same distance on the WI side of the Mississipi.

My son and I will be there selling mostly 2 cyl John Deere parts. GDP Sales. We are there every year. Problem is I sometimes buy more than I sell. We may have a blue semi that says Wahl R&R or a blue Superduty or a red Superduty. Most tractor vendors, including us, go home late Saturday. Friday is by the far the biggest / best day.

Larry of the Corner Stine,

Thanks. All three of us are really looking forward to the swap meet.

Seems we each find at least some little treasure every year. PLUS I get to takes pics to my heart's content. :)

There's one in Kentucky and Tennessee in October too. It's called the Roller Coaster. We went last year. The weather was bad,but we had a good time anyway. We met up with Lee Little and his wife from the forum here, had supper with them. The scenery was great even if the weather wasn't. One I want to make it to one of these years too, runs east and west across Kentucky on 68. The only trouble with that one is the dates. It's early June when we're going whole hog in the hay.

This is for Sweetfeet, ZumbroValley doesn't do a threshing show, just a plow day in the fall and a display at the local Cheese Festival I think first weekend of June. Pete

Galen H.,

If we run across your "booth", will say hello.

Not sure if we will be able to cover the entire grounds... we fell short by about 3-4 rows last year. Just got tired and called it a day.

Maybe we'll skip a few of the front rows in the south... so we can make it all the way to the end rows this year.
