Fenceline Feeders

My dad is checking out metal fenceline feeders. He manages 14-15 head of cattle. They come to him in late spring around 250-275lbs and leave in the fall around 600+lbs. He and I have looked at a few different brands and trying to decided what is the best fit for him. They seem to be either designed for larger cattle or a few are made for sheep, goats, calves. Salesmen haven't been overwhelmingly helpful. My dad likes the idea of the the brands with the adjustable neck bar rather than the slant divider bars. We don't know any body in the local area with one. So, I am looking for some help out there. Who of you has/have one? What size of cattle do you have? What seems to be a good size for the size cattle my dad manages?

I background sale barn calves and feed cull cows in addition to a cow/calf operation, these bunks from Corbin are about the most well made I have found, various recommendations call from between 18 to 24 inches of bunk space per head depending on size of the animal so I just go with 24 to cover anything I want to feed in the lot.

Slant divider bars help to decrease hay loss, if you"re feeding hay in them. Cattle tend to drop the hay if they have to twist their neck to get their head out. Can"t remember how wide I made them in either the calf barn, or the (feeder animal) pole shed. Could measure them, but for sure it has to be a bit wider than the largest animals. 14 inches comes to mind for the feeder steers.
