Danged pot farmers....

Got a call to come back and do another days work with the Skidloader at this pot farm 30 miles away from me. I show up, same a last year....locked gate, call and get the answering machine....lay on the horn every couple of minutes...15 minutes later the dude comes out and moves vehicles around and opens the gate so I can get my truck and trailer in. We go into the (locked) pot garden and the first thing the guys says is "Well, you didn't do what I wanted last year, but that is ok" Heck he was there and I did exactly what he told me to do and he praised me for being the first contractor that did what he wanted. I was about ready to just pack up and leave, but having driven all that way I let it slide. He then explained what he wanted to do now, so I started working and after an hour he had to leave. I finished up after 6 hours, waited 45 minutes for him to get back so I could get paid....and the first thing he says is "Well, that really isn't what I wanted done, but it's ok"! I guess next time he calls I am going to have to record our conversations...obviously someone has killed a few memory cells over the years....

He won't remember he even talked to you when you
call again

Did you get a buzz working there. A lot of locked gated communities around here. I drove some distance to do a job, I got to the guard shack. Well the owner did not call the security office to let them know I was comming. The gate guard would not let me in. I just had to turn around and leave. Stan

According to them they are the highest functioning human beings going. They are extremely paranoid in regards to law enforcement pounding their door down. Makes you wonder what else is going on inside their house. The stuff may not be physically addictive but some of those guys smoke more than what they can handle at a time. As to the pot farmer he is one of these jerks that thinks everything is negotiable hence "well, you did not do what I really wanted." There used to be a dairy farmer near here that pulled that and soon nobody was willing to do any contractor work for him.

Would be the last time I would accept a job from that customer.

And if you don't believe that all you have to do is ask them - they'll be quick tell you how smart and "free" they are ......

There was one here,died of liver problems,but he was so paranoid that he wouldn't get internet service because he was sure the government would know everything that was on his computer. Wouldn't even hook Direct TV up to the phone line for the same reason. (Back when you had to in order to get pay per view movies.)

Yeah he is a 60 yr old Jewish Bernie Sanders look-a-like from Cali and wearing a rainbow t-shirt...kinda sums it up LOL! His wife seemed a little better, as I waited for him to get home she gave me a glass of Kombucha and a cupcake...I asked her if it had medicine in it and she said "no, but I have some cookies...."

Hi Maybe the guys in the product research and development department. sounds like he's maybe working a part shift in sampling for quality control to
L.O.L. Hey there are some weird guys out there don't smoke pot. I can over look that if their cash is good or the check clears at the bank!.
If you're not comfortable with him don't go back. Your choice if you got other work to replace him that pays better.

Well I'm thinking Kombucha works akin to the way biodiesel works the first time in a diesel engine...kinda cleans it out LOL. Plus I still get that sour whiff every once in awhile that reminds me of it.

One of the problems with many of the heavy users is they believe that pot consumption is making every facet of their life so much better than remaining predominantly sober.
