It Followed Me Home...

Bought this little sprayer for $50 from a man I use to work with. I knew he had bought it a couple of years ago at an auction so I kept pestering him to let me buy it. Has a 5hp B&S engine with a roller pump then it also has an electric pump. I just need to clean out the tank real good. Feels like the engine is low on compression and the gas tank feels rusty inside. But I think I got my $50 worth...

What are you planning on using it for? Id like to find a electric one around 25 gallon. I had a pump but I gave it to my dad. Then he gets mad when I use his sprayer with my pump on it.

Pretty neat little outfit, especially for that price. But I"d move everything forward to get the weight slightly forward of the axle.

A small gas tank like that rust can be cleaned out with the works toilet bowl cleaner from the dollar store.
Those engines have the cam made so it's a built in compression release. You have to spin them backwards and see if it bounces back.

Those old square tank Briggs had their "easy spin starting". They never felt like they had any compression but they run like a top. If you can find a carb kit you should buy it. I bet the one on the diaphragm pump takes a puke when you start using it. I'll bet it will work nice for you.

LOL, Old people like me, do not like to loan our stuff out. Just when we need it, its over at so and so's place. Save yourself some grief and go get "YOUR OWN" (haha) sprayer. gobble
