Versatile 700 Clutch manual

I have a Versatile 700 that needs a clutch brake. I was wondering if anyone has a service manual that shows how to repair that. If anyone could scan those pages and email them to me I would appreciate it. Thanks, Karl

Karl, it simply uses a "pull-type clutch" as was used in HD trucks.

When the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor the TO bearing moves rearward and squeezes the clutch brake disc that is splined to the pilot shaft between the TO bearing carrier and the face of the cover ahead of the output shaft bearing to bring the drivetrain ahead of the transmission to a halt.

Do you know what is wrong with yours... does it simply need adjustment, is it worn out, or is it worn free o the pilot shaft?

I can send you instructions on adjusting the pedal travel and the brake linkage, and you can view the parts breakdown at the link below by entering the model # in the search box, then selecting the parts catalog matching the year of your tractor.

Is this a Spicer (Eaton) clutch? They have emergency7 clutch brake plates you can install with out removing the transmission. If it is this is a "pull" clutch not like a common "push clutch". I sent you an e-mail. J.

Keene tool co makes a kit to split the old brake for easier removal. it is a guide to use a drill to split the brake in two pieces reinstall a two piece.

"They have emergency7 clutch brake plates you can install with out removing the transmission."

The transmission isn't attached to the engine on a 700 Versatile so that is a moot point.
