Vicon Mower

I have a chance to purchase a 10' Vicon center pivot disk mower conditioner from original owner. Any thoughts good or bad will be appreciated. How much is it worth? Thanks.

Never been around a mower conditioner, but a neighbor has a Vicon disc mower that he swears is the best thing ever built. I does a good job, no better that anybody else, but as good. The only fault I have seen is in heavy hay it is more prone to plugging than some others. It may be because of having 3 blades on each rotor instead of 2. I don't really know.

Depends on how the rolls are made. I had a 9 foot 321. The rolls were segmented with pieces about 4 or 5 inches long,all slid on a hex shaft end to end. Those things tend to break and come off. There was supposed to be a repair kit available,a two piece outfit that went around the shaft and bolted together with countersunk bolts,but the only dealer I could find for them told me he'd never had any luck getting any of those things.
