Anyone have any experience or opinions about Fendt's

To me, Fendts always seems a technological marvel.
Instead of operating a tractor, your basically operating a computer sending commands.

I guess when things do go wrong it turns into a chuck of metal.

Anyone ever operated one or have any opinion s of them ?

A good friend of mine bought six all at once for his manure hauling business. He wanted the fast road speed. He loved them for about 3 years. Then the electronics started to give him fits then it cost an arm and leg to have them repaired. He then really found out how great where when he traded them off and lost about 20% more on trade-in value. ( this was compared to what the other brands he was looking at would have been valued at the same age and hours.)

So there are very few around here.

Quite a few here in SE PA. Cousin who is a dairy farmer here said that the manure hauling contractors can get an extra load per hour with a Fendt. A very large (1500 to 2000 cows) dairy farm near here has at least three Fendts, a JCB, plus numerous red and green tractors.

We have a dealer a couple miles from here. A local guy has rented one a couple falls in a row to chisel plow with. Said he liked it. The dealer told me they've sold a few, but it's a couple towns away where a dairy farmer is from Europe. Must be what he used across the pond?

The Belgian and Dutch dairy farms that come here for the tax breaks we give them, use mostly Fendts. Why buy American when you can support your home countries. They like the road speed too. It helps them tear up the roads when frost laws are on, since they are exempt from the weight limits.
