I bought a Truax no-till drill at an auction yesterday. Today I was looking it over and decided I should get a manual for it. I called the company in MN and was put in touch with the owner and inventer. We had a nice conversation about the drill, even though it was one of the first ones he built he spit out info as if he designed it yesterday. He said he would get an owners manual out to me ASAP....no charge. Can't beat service like that!

I bought a narrow (6 foot) no-till drill for cover crop seeding in the vineyard. It works well for my small hay fields and pastures, as well. This one I actually bought on eBay, from a dealer in Northern Indiana. They sent a manual with it, but since the drill is from France, I need my phone handy to do the conversions for planting six hogsheads of rape seeds per hectare into something workable for me...

15 years ago I pulled a ten foot one for the County Soil Conservation service. It was a good drill. The book was well written and easy to understand. I carried a Hilift jack and a small scale to weigh samples. The jack was to raise the drive wheels and count revs n the tires.
