I got a telephone call the other day from Frank Whitehead,I met him years ago on this site. Some of you might remember when I met an old farmer at a nursing home when I was visiting my aunt and uncle. I posted a story of the farmer Ben liking farmalls. Frank Whitehead read the story and aent a huge stack of red power magazines to Ben in the mail. When I got the phone call,I talked to Frank the other day, I mentioned I didnt see him on the site here anymore,Frank said he looks faithfully at t talk everynight, but is having trouble getting posts through. He wanted me to tell you all he is still reading t talk, and,,,he has some good pictures with rust too,,,,that he wants to post as soon as he gets it figured out. Frank is a young 86 and very interesting to talk with.Recently his wife passed away, and he says t talk is a big help to him, I was hoping we could all say hello to him,,he will see it,and hopefully by then he will be able to post back,

Hi Frank where are you located ? Were yon a dairy farmer ? I am an old truck driver. I got sick of milking cows so I left the farm . I miss the tractors. I never liked the horses. I remember setting on the one row cultivator in the hot sun all day. I don't miss that at all. Good luck to you Frank and I will watch to see something from you on here OK ? Thanks Jack

Hi, Frank from central Minn. I also like Farmalls. I have an A, B, super C that my uncle bought new, 2 H's super MTA diesel, 806 diesel. a mccormick WD9 and some other brands also. Enjoy reading this site!

Hello, Frank, from western Washington. Grew up on a dairy farm, but managed to get over it. Glad to hear you're still on the site.

There is hardly anyone more interesting to talk to than a farmer that has some mileage under his belt. They have many stories, and fun to listen to. So, Frank, I hope all is well with you. My favorite Farmall is the M or Super M. I am saddled only with an old 1950 John Deere B and am in south central Michigan a few miles west of Hell. It would be a real pleasure to chat with you..

Howdy from Louisiana , lost my father in December it's hard but time will heal you , she wouldn't want you to be sad .

Hello Frank, from central Michigan. Don't worry about not getting pictures to post on here, I can't get them to either some times.

Greetings Whitehead, from the birth place of the ice cream sundae, Two River, Wi. I know some other places says they are, but I don't believe them.

Hi Larry, yes I do remember your story about visiting at the nursing home.
Hello to Frank from Nova Scotia Canada. Cheers, Murray

Glad to hear you are reading all this BS I mean tractor stuff. Haha. Sounds like you are the man that most of us are trying to follow in your foot steps. You keep reading and we will keep working on tractors and equipment and keep the news coming your way. From Middle Colo.

Hello Frank. Glad your here. My family didn't have any red tractors but we did have a McCormick Deering manure spreader.
Funny how tiny it looks today, but it sure looked giant when I was a kid not much taller than the pitch fork I was using.
Good thing I had five brothers. Ha

Frank,
Hi from southern MN. It's nice to "meet" you. Hope you have a great spring!

YT is a great site! I check in before work and after work, sometimes over lunch hour and usually at the end of the day. Uhm, my name is SweetFeet and I'm a YT addict. LOL :)

My husband and I particularly like RUST... so in hopes that it may help you out with photo posting - below are the steps I use to post photos.

INSTRUCTIONS TO UPLOAD PHOTO WHEN IN CLASSIC VIEW:

Type your post (or reply) text.

Then under Advanced Posting Tools? Click on Upload Photo. (NOT the area where it says Upload Photos/Videos - I'm not sure if that area is working right now.)

Now click on Choose File button?
this takes you to your My Pictures files in your computer.

Now double-click the photo folder you want open.

Then click on the photo you want to upload (to select/highlight it).

Next, click on Open button (at the bottom of that window), this will take you back to the upload area.

Click on Upload button (then, give it time to upload ? it can take some time depending on your internet speed
AND the size of your photo-file.

After your photo uploads... you will see a small ?thumbnail? of your photo? in the upload area.

BE SURE to click on the Continue button.

At this point you can select another photo/upload/continue to keep uploading more photos OR if only posting 1 photo?

Click Preview Your Post/Preview Your Reply button? and if the upload worked - your photo should show in that Preview window.

If all looks good ? then click on the Submit button (located below that Preview window).

Then the screen will show you: ?Message Added? showing the subject line you had typed. And it says ?Thank You for participating in the YT community?.

Howdy Frank from the Lazy H Ranch in East Texas. We are currently getting what we call in Texas a "Frog Strangler" rain but I never turn down rain. Hope you are feeling good and enjoying the Spring weather. I have mostly John Deere's on the Ranch but I do have a 1966 International Harvestor Loadstar 1600 grain truck with dual hoists and a 1981 IH 3588 articulated tractor. Take care and drop us a line on how you are doing. Joe

Good to hear that you were able to catch up with Frank after the passing of time. Hope to see him on here soon. I as well don't post a lot as I am not much wealth of information on much other than the general area in which I live. That is in central MI. I love tractors am working toward having time to play with more of them after retirement. I currently have a 44 farmall H, 50 john deere B and as long as the wife don't see this I have recently picked up a case vac. It is in ok shape but I believe its a flipper. Guy has already offered to purchase it. Believe we can agree on a deal.

Hello from N. western Michigan. Where the rivers run clear, and the "Badger" Floats each summer to Wisconsin. Would love to visit with you. Sure miss my Dad, and Grandpa. God bless you.

Hey from NC Frank. I'm a 'young' 48 and always love sitting down and talking to the older generation. Sounds like your a fellow I would enjoy talking to.

Hello Frank from The Netherlands.

You must be like my Granddad and my Dad: listening to them talking about their past and experiences is like an oasis in my life.

SweetFeet, Thanks for providing these simple to follow photo posting instructions. I'm going to try and post a photo and if it works it will be my first photo posted on this site. If it doesn't appear I still have more work and learning to acquire to master this issue, Hal.

Larry. Do you have a location on Frank? We need to send someone to him to help him learn how to post a message. He has been handicapped too long.

Frank, If you are reading this try this to post a reply.Look in the message box for the word "reply" Use the mouse to get the blinking cursor over it. Then push the upper left button.
Now type your reply. When you are done look near the bottom of that reply. There is a shaded bax that says "Preview reply" Again move the blinking "cursor" onto that and the left button. Then you get a new screen that says "submit Reply" in a shaded box. Use the mouse again and left click on that. Good Luck.

Larry, thanks for the kind email and thanks to everyone for the kind comments from all over the world. You will be seeing more posts from me in the near future. Thanks again to all.
