No pictures, but when I was a kid,we had one that a guy up the road built. Had a narrowed up Ford car rear end,a British Thames four cylinder engine and two transmissions. That thing would go like a scared rabbit unless the first transmission was in low.

Neighbor made this one, picture from when he had it at Chilton(wi) show one year. I want to know where the "Chicken Tractor" went after his passing and resulting auction. Does anyone know?

Local tractor built by Joe Forshey. McCormick 10-20 rear end and flathead Ford V-8. I call it the Forshey DeLux.

There's an elderly gentleman that lives about 15 miles from Cheyenne, WY. Along old Highway 30. His names Mel Gould. He's made
about 8 doodlebugs. He also has a collection of giant wind spinners and he has built numerous cars and trucks also. I wish I
would have taken more pictures of his collection. I was just passing by.

I have a couple doodlebugs but just a picture of the one that doesn't run. 38 GMC 1 1/2 ton cut down.

Wish I had pictures of my grandpa's doodle bug model A ford truck rear straight axle on front welded straight. four cylinder think it was a wisconsin. Two tractor tires
with side walls cut out stretched over tires. used brakes for turning. Put treads over tires then aired them up. worked ok except when turning hard treads would slip
off.

OK this thread seems to have been idle for about a month, but I thought some might enjoy my doodlebug sickle mower made from a model TT Ford and a champion draw cut mower. The beauty of most doodlebugs is the evidence of what the creator had to work with, generally very little and made up for with creativity. This bug has many well done elements, but one keyway helped to demonstrate what the builder had to work with, the keyway was well made, but was obviously made by drilling a series of holes and using a cold chisel to make the cut, I guess that is what people did on cold winter days when there was little else to do?

I would also like to comment on the tractor from Buckeye, I believe the steering mechanism in the front is from a "camel back" drill press, a pretty good idea, but it makes me cringe I could never cut up my camel back bulky but the best drill ever.

My other bug is also a TT but utilizes the original worm drive rear and a second unknown brand of transmission.
Fortunately 'bugs are short, so they both just fit on the trailer, barely.
