The wife said she just read online that Joey Feek passed away about 2:30 this afternoon. Tragic. A new mother with so much talent. May she rest in peace.

Verry tragic, She wa a talented an beautiful woman. My thoughts go out to Rory and family.
Sure enjoyed their TV show on RFTD TV. I hope Rory and his daughters can revive, and come back to country misic in her image.

I heard that as well. I dont listen to country music but had been following some of it on facebook. Very sad to see such a beautiful talented woman go. Prayers to them all.

They both seem so down to earth and filled with talent. Listen to her sing "When I'm Gone" on their album "His and Hers". It will bring tears to your eyes. It definitely illustrates their faith to be able to sing it knowing what she was facing.

I've been following it as well. When he posted that she had gone into a coma (or sleep as he said it) a few days ago I prayed that it would just happen for her to be at peace. It's the way that she dealt with her disease and helped her family grieve that's such a good life lesson. What strong people.

My wife is a retired High School English teacher. Rory actually had two children from a previous marriage. My wife taught both of them during their 11th and 12th grades. She got to know both Rory and Joey quite well. Joey was a wonderful step-mother to the two girls in addition to being a mother of their young child.

They are both strong Christians with an abiding faith in God's love and provision. The world has lost, but heaven has gained.

Since I don't listen to todays country music, or any of todays music. I have never heard of Joey Feek. I went to youtube and found her singing her songs. What a beautiful person. I must have listened for an hour. I can see why she will be missed. Stan
