You can get rid of the list by clicking to the right on the same line as "Name" click on the ">>" thing. This will get you some more map real-estate Then zoom out using the + and - to see the US or the whole world if you like. I haven't found a way to full screen it yet. I don't think there is.
Most of us are east of the Dakotas and many more scattered all about. There is one now in Utah. Many in Europe. None in Mexico and south from there.
