Always wanted a manure spreader to haul wood with. We cut LOTS of wood at work yesterday, probably a hundred trees, all decent sized. Chipped the tops, left the rest along the road, we're not allowed to pick up any of it. Makes me mad when an older fella that is retired is picking it up, working away at it, getting the easy stuff and the hard stuff, and the local "won't work" people wheel up and grab just the easy stuff and be on their way. Not our wood, so we can't stop people from taking it, and we can't tell anyone they can have it either.

here is a pic of my homemade woodsplitter and log arch and the old poop spreader turned into a wood hauler just to the right of the splitter

There's a species called Madrona in western Washington, it only grows within a mile or 2 of salt water, and is about the best firewood there is. When we lived on Bainbridge Island, west of Seattle, someone logged a 5 acre parcel, took the fir and cedar, and put up a sign "Free Wood". I took my Oliver 550 over, and a bunch of guys were there cutting wood. They wanted Madrona, but lots was too far from the landing for them to cut. So I made them a deal- I'll yard the Madrona out with the Oliver, but they need to fill my pickup first. I'll keep yarding until I have got all I can. It worked out great- they filled my pickup, and I kept going until all their rigs were full, too. Someone had brought some adult beverages, and we enjoyed some camaraderie over what a good day it had been.

Like your Arch, a very handy tool that goes way back to Horse and oxen. I love the ******* spreader "wagons". Unbolt the back and pull the apron.

We have 20+" of snow, you would be able to even git to
woods or pull anything without chains.
