Member map?

I posted mine,hookstown,pa..now a dumb question,i see fixerupper posted his too,but it out in the ocean,is there a island out there??

Click on Additions -> Then Add Marker-Simple. A window will popup put your YT handle in the Entry Name line. Put your address in the location line. Or you can click on Map Select a Location button and find the location on the map you want your pin to be at.

Hey Royse, I remember this being brought up a long time ago and I didn't see a way of doing it. All the states roll calls we had got me looking again.

If we all bookmark the map we can look at it anytime we want. Maybe even get Kim/Chris to add the feature?!!

I remember talking about it. Definitely a cool idea.
I'm sure from a technical point of view Chris could add it.
Or at least a link to it.
I don't know what all the legal hoops would be for them.
That would have to be a consideration.

Got mine close.

Looks like we've got a lot of Yankees on the map so far. LOL

Where are all the Southern and Eastern folks? I know we've got farms and tractors around here too.....

"Where are all the Southern and Eastern folks?"

They probably have better thing to do than us Yankees.
Either that or they have better weather to do them in! :)

Well that's up to them to add the map or not. They could even make this thread go poof. But it won't take my map down. If we bookmark the page we will still have it.

If anyone wants something edited or removed my email is open.

Based on what I've seen, you guys are all inside if possible, or outside (feeding livestock, etc, etc, etc, etc, )freezing your tails off and feeling like your crazy for being there. Either way, I feel for ya'll.

The worse thing we've seen around here was about 3 inches of snow a few weeks back, and temps in the teens at night. I think we're supposed to have some 'bad stuff' coming in around here Monday, but if we get anything its usually gone in a day or two at most.

I can take the heat we have during the summer, but I absolutely HATE the cold.....Dang I love the South.....

Well, technology has once again defeated and humbled this old troglodyte. Any of you want to know where I am, you'll just have to ask me.

Can't quite figure all this out, but I live in Central North Carolina, just about six or eight miles Southwest of the NC State Zoo. ( Don't go by there very often, every time I do, they try to put me back in!)

I added mine, and thanks for pointing me in the direction of the zeemap site. It looks like it might be useful for some other things I'm working on.

I'm a bit confused, on the map there are three people markers in middle TN, yet they are not in the replies. How did they get listed on the map and not in the thread?

I'm in.
Put me a good 1/2 mile south of where I really am. Same thing happens when someone tries to get here using their gps.

You can access the map without posting here. I have a question too. Why is larry@stinescorner shown WAY west of his normal stompin' grounds and shown in BLUE. What do the colors mean?

Well it has worked for me too, the flag is located near enough and is not in the English Channel so feet say dry, only thing is the link that came up in the advisory panel that is supposed to allow you to edit in the future does not work! So hopefully it wont be needed.

Ray.

That's neat to look at, just don't post you're on vacation or something. A similar thing caused a ruckus in NY when they made a map of those with a certain license. There is no doubt some fool somewhere will put 2+2 together, having a location and knowing from a post here if you are away. Not to rain on the parade, its neat to see where everyone is on a map, but instinct tells me to use discretion on the web just the same.

The link takes me to the site, buy no map is viewable.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong. Do you have to register first?
Not sure that I want (the wrong) people to know where I keep my equipment anyway.

I'm on there also now. Make sure you use your actual location or it will put you miles from where you are. Example, where I am I have Howell, MI mailing but I am in a different twp. I used my actual twp and it put me right where I should be.

Loren, When I went to the barn this morning I didn't think I got it! Went on a road trip with my son to pick up an engine was a little hairy up near Syracuse! I bet I have the only F150 with a Dodge 5.7 hemi in it. Lol, Greg.

Lee Little, you've got yourself on the wrong side of the road there. LOL
Zoom in close enough and your road's even on the map.

"How does Royse rate a green pin though? lol"

It got shoved to the back of the refrigerator and I forgot it. ;)

Actually, there was a little drop down that let me choose the color when I added it.

Hi to all, this is great but I am not very good with this computer so I have my pin on but how do I see the whole map at once?

HNM, on left side of map is a + and - symbol click on - and map zooms out while + while allow getting right down to side roads

What a great idea. I'm on. The satellite view is grat to see an area. When traveling it will be great to see where other members live and play. Is there a way to search location when we have a members name?
Dave

I'm in, but being somewhat thick headed, I got on with my name.....duh, the light came on and I got on again with my handle.

there is a guy over in that area,he asks questions about case tractors,i think he runs a school or reservation type thing

Southern Ray, I think it is my "Security Settings" that causes this, as I have a box checked that says something like "never allow my physical location to be viewed by websites". This is with INTERNET EXPLORER.

I also have GOOGLE CHROME on my computer; it works just fine. It is still using the default settings on this browser.
There should be a computer guru sifting through this shortly; I am no expert on computers and settings.

FWIW, I still have not loaded my location though.

That is great, my grandson will be traveling 1800 miles to work on a custom combining crew. I wouldn't drive his truck to the diner in town, but he says it will make it.

If some one knows how to delete my one pin to the north in town it would be good. The correct one is the one to the south. Of town. Next to Wilkinson.
Thanks for doing that.

I got mine on after 3 tries, but pin should be one mile straight south of where it showed up. Can't seem to move it, Help?
